Due to the constant expansion and contraction of exterior wood elements, Advanced Repair Technology’s Flexible Wood Epoxy Repair System is engineered to provide a durable, high performance repair. Based on solid research and field testing, the flexible epoxy Repair System developed by ART offers the long-term performance and ease of installation not available with conventional epoxy repair methods and materials.

Art's Epoxy Repair System

Features:

Adhesion to wood fibers is increased by the use of a penetrating cell-bonding primer.

The controlled mixing system provides consistent results without waste and guess work.

Unparalleled modeling and tooling properties provides a quick and easy application without slumping or sagging in any volume. Does not shrink after curing.

No fillers or additives required.

The Methods:

Advanced Repair Technology’s Flexible Wood Repair System is not a consolidation approach to repair.

Removal of all wood decay to sound unaffected wood is the only recommended method used with the Advanced Repair Technology's Epoxy Repair System.

The Repair Materials:

prime-a-tratE

Prime-A-Trate is a two component epoxy-based bonding agent designed specifically to enhance the bonding strength of Flex-Tec HV. Engineered to move with the natural expansion and contraction of soft and hard wood species, Prime-A-Trate offers outstanding long-term performance.

The ultra-low viscosity properties make Prime-A-Trate the ideal material for creating a high-performance bond to the open cell structure of hard and soft woods.

Flex-Tec HV

Elastomeric repair compound contains both "A" and "B" components

Dual caulking tube - 450 ml / 15.8 oz

Item # ART 401

Flex-Tec HV is a two component epoxy-based repair material designed specifically for the repair of damaged wood. Engineered to move with the natural expansion and contraction of soft and hard wood species, Flex-Tec HV offers outstanding long-term performance. It requires no additives or fillers. Excellent modeling and tooling properties make Flex-Tec HV the ideal choice for the professional user. Flex-Tec HV can be used on both vertical and horizontal wood surfaces.

Common applications are on exterior column bases, window sills and sashes, and architectural wood ornaments. It is also suitable for various manufacturing uses, the repair of natural wood imperfections such as knots or checks, and the sealing of end-grain, which protects the integrity of the paint film.
